It's a procedure in which warm medicated oil is (allowed to flow) poured continuously over the patient's body.
Procedure:
In this procedure, patient is first smeared with appropriate medicated oils on the body and head, then made to lie on specially designed wooden bid (Droni). Therapists dip the clear cotton cloth in the warm medicated oil and squeeze it over the patient's body. This is normally done for around 60 mins every day for one-three weeks continuously depending upon the severity of the ailment. Finally oil is removed by wiping with a dry towel or giving bath with warm water.
Indications:
Skeletal and Muscular ailments, Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Lumbago, Sciatica Hemiplegia, Nervous disorders. Etc.
