SWARNA BINDU PRASHANA
AYURVEDA is known for its own Specialities. SWARNA BINDU PRASHANA is one of such formulae described in Ancient literature-Kashyapa Samitha in Ayurveda.
A)Shuddha Medhya Aushadi siddha Ghritha.
B)Shuddha Swarna Bhasma.
C)Shuddha Madhu.
Ayurveda explains special quality of honey. Honey is called as “Yogavahi” . The substance which has a quality of penetrating the deepest tissue is called as Yogavahi. When honey is used with other herbal preparations it enhances the medicinal qualities of those preparations and also helps them to reach the deeper tissues. Honey is also an effective immune system booster with its powerful antioxidant and antibacterial properties. It contains nutraceuticals which helps to remove free radicals from the body.
Swarna is one of the shreshta dravyas explained in Ayurveda .Our Acharyas explained that swarna should be used in Lehana karma. As swarna is a metal it cant be administered directly. So swarna is made into bhasma and used. This swarna bhasma is laghu gunatmaka, easy for absorption and assimilation. It is also medha(intellect) vardhaka. When it is administered in low doses for a particular time it is known to potentiate the memory power along with immunity.
Ghritha has a remarkable property to assimilate the gunas of other dravyas which are added to it. Ghritha has been given the title of Rasayana in Ayurveda . Medhyaushadhi s like manduka parni , brahmi, guduchi, yastimadhu, vacha etc are added to ghritha and prepared. This ghritha is useful in potentiating the mental ability.
Development of Immunity, Intellect and Complexion in infants and children. Regular consumption of this for one year boosts the Physical strength and Intelligence in infants and children. This formulation is recommended for the new born babies to the age of 16 yrs. Swarna prashana will be done on the day of pushya Nakshatra every month
