Enema therapy

It's a two pronged purificatory method consisting of Eliminating and Nourishing therapy which is administered through the anal orifice.

NIRUHA BASTI: Eliminating therapy

It is also called as Cleansing enema or Decoction enema which is usually given for purification. It consists of herbal decoctions, salt, honey, oil, paste of particular herbs.

ANUVASANA BASTI: Nourishing enema

It's the second form of enema therapy where oils, fat and honey are used with nourishing herbs such as Bala, Bilva, Kashmari and Patala etc. Usually one cup of oil is used for Anuvasana basti.

SNEHA BASTI:

It's a type of Anuvasana basti where only half cup of oil is used.

MATRA BASTI:

It's a type of Anuvasana basti where only a Quarter cup of oil is usually used.

Indications:

All Nervous disorders, Haemorrhoids, Insanity and others mental disorders, Intoxication. Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease for Rejuvenation, Infertility, Certain Gynaecological disorders, low back ache(lumbosacral pain)etc..
