It's a specific technique through which herbal pastes are applied over the patients head.

Procedure:

Firstly, medicated oil is applied over the head and body, then finely grounded herbal paste is kept over the head (vertex) and the area is covered with plantain leaf. After 60-90mins, the paste is removed and the oil is wiped off, then the head and body are again smeared with medicated oils and given bath with warm water.

Improving vision, Certain forms of headaches, Insomnia, Hypertension, Dry Vision Syndrome, Mental Tension and other diseases where shirodhara is prescribed, Greying of hairs, Hair fall etc.
